Kate Taylor began writing about sex and relationships in 1997 when she joined GQ magazine. A year later she had her own column, "Sex Life", which readers consistently voted "Best Page in GQ" for the four years she wrote it, and which was nominated for a PPA Award.

She has since written for most of the UK's leading newspapers and magazines, including The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Times, The Telegraph, The Observer, The Guardian, The Evening Standard, The Daily Express, Glamour, She, Tatler, More!, Maxim and Cosmopolitan.
She has written three books on having great sex: The Good Orgasm Guide (2001), Life's Too Short for Tantric Sex (2003), and A Woman's Guide to Sex (2003). She has also co-authored a book on getting married.

Kate is also the UK's Relationship Expert for match.com - the world's biggest online-dating site. (Everyone who buys a copy of Not Tonight Mr Right can get a week's free trial on the site - incidentally, Kate met her husband during a week's free trial membership in October 2000.) Members of match.com can send their Dating Dilemmas to be answered by Kate in her monthly "Ask Kate" column.

Kate is also the Love Coach for Mercury FM radio.

She lives in Surrey with her landscape-gardener husband and their son.
